Who We Are

Welcome to Greenbrier Valley Academy, where faith and education unite. Our school offers a unique blend of values and academic excellence, creating an inspiring and close-knit community for your child’s transformative journey. Join us to explore the difference at Greenbrier Valley Academy.

Curriculum

Our curriculum centers on four key elements: Standards-Based Learning for skill mastery, Project-Based Learning for real-world experience, Nature-Based Learning connecting students with the natural world, and Bible-Based Learning as the foundation of wisdom and knowledge.

Community

We have small class sizes where each student is an important part of our community! They will not just get lost in the crowd. They are not just a number. In this setting, students find individualized support. Additionally, each student’s family is part of GVA’s school family!

Compassion

We care about each student. And we care about more than just their grades. We take a holistic approach to education. We want to partner with you in your child’s development academically, physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Our Teachers

Meet our Team

Ashley Acevedo

Ashley Acevedo

Principal | Teacher | K-4th Grade

Ashley Acevedo, a Southern California native and UC San Diego alumna, is pursuing a master’s in education. A dedicated Christian educator, she emphasizes holistic development—mind, spirit, and body. Raised Adventist, Ashley was a proud Pathfinder, counselor, and church praise team member. She loves singing, nature, reading, learning new skills, and spending time with loved ones.

Gabrielle Baker

Gabrielle Baker

Teacher | 5th-8th Grade

Gabrielle, a dedicated educator with over a decade of experience, is committed to inspiring minds and shaping futures through teaching. Recognizing a gap in support for exceptional learners within the church, she pursued a bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies, specializing in Mild to Moderate Special Education (K-12) at Western Governors University. Currently, she supports students at Greenbrier Valley Academy and actively volunteers with youth- and young adult-led ministries locally and internationally.

Enrollment

GVA welcomes individuals from diverse faith backgrounds who share the common goal of providing their child(ren) with an education rooted in a Biblical, Christian worldview. However, it is important to note that all admissions are subject to the approval of our School Board.
